hannah hayes is an irish artist, currently living and working in london, u.k.

my work explores inheritances and encounters – welcome/unwelcome – that reveal themselves outside of linear (hi)stories, and instead emerge within objects, land, architecture, residues and physical being.

working across film, text and installation using objects found and made, I seek to imagine spaces that build story through fragments, taking glimpses of the uncanny within the mundane and building these fleeting encounters into liminal thresholds where the act of watching might become a subject in itself.
